Mr. Donald "Red" Daniel Evans, 64, of Rose Lane in Estill, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday evening, August 20, 2024, in Augusta, Georgia.
Born December 8, 1959, in Hampton County, Mr. Evans was a son of the late Bobby Donald Evans and Anza Isadore Ginn Nix Evans. He was a master carpenter having worked many years as a carpenter with various entities throughout his career before his retirement. Mr. Evans will be remembered as a loving family man and friend who loved attending family events such as reunions, spending time with different family members he shared a bond with such as his brother, and helping his friends out however he could. He will especially be remembered for the love he had for his children, grandchildren, and siblings.
Surviving are his son: Joshua Evans (Fallon) of Hampton; his daughter: Chasity Lynn Evans of Gillisonville; his grandchildren: Joshua Evans, Jr., Brady Evans, Hunter Evans, and Riley Evans, all of Hampton, and Carson Brinson of Estill, and his brothers: Raymond "Bubba" Nix of Hollywood, SC and Oliver "O.C." Evans (Gwen) of Grays. There are also many nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved dearly, along with his beloved dog, Rambo.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Evans is predeceased by his loving wife, Amanda "Mandy" Lynn Mock Evans; two sisters: Louise Lambert and Bobbie Rachel Evans Breland, and a brother: William "Billy' Nix.
Funeral Services will be held at 4 PM, Sunday, August 25, 2024, in the Varnville First Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery on Rivers Hill Road near Grays, conducted by Rev. Heyward Evans and Rev. Brian Toney.
A visitation will be held from 5 PM – 7 PM Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry St. W., Hampton, SC 29924.
Pallbearers will be Randy Hadwin, Dale Hadwin, Jarrett Wright, Brian Breland, Chris Breland, Ronald Collier, and Jimmy "Babo" Carr
The family suggests that those who wish may send memorials in Mr. Evans honor to the Funeral Home.
Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home is assisting the Evans family during this time.
