Donald Wayne Bishop

Hampton:   Mr. Donald Wayne (Yogi) Bishop, 62 passed away peacefully at his home in Hampton, S.C. on Monday, January 31st, 2022 after a sudden illness. Yogi was born August 25, 1959 in Hampton, S.C. a son of the late David Bishop and Laverne Jarrell Bishop, of Hampton.

Yogi loved the outdoors, including hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed traveling, gospel music and cooking for his family. He was very devoted to his Mother. Donald worked for EOM Industrial in Richmond Hill as a project manager. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

Surviving are: His Mother, Laverne Jarrell Bishop of Hampton; Two brothers: Larry D. Bishop and wife Terry, and Karl D. Bishop and wife Jessica. There are several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 3:30 P.M. in the Open Arms Fellowship Church, at 402 Hoover Street North in Hampton, conducted by Dr. Ryan Ashcraft with burial in the Hampton Cemetery directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at the church beginning at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday prior to the services.
