Diane Ginn

Ms. Diane Carol Saunders Ginn, 55, of Cowpens, SC passed away November 2, 2020, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.  She was a gentle spirit who always had a warm smile for everyone she met.

Ms. Ginn was born October 3, 1965 in Savannah, GA, daughter of Mary P. Chancy and the late Larry Joe Saunders, Sr.  She graduated from Allendale-Fairfax High School and attended Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College.  She worked in the food service industry for over 30 years and her lifelong passion was caring for her cats.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Saunders Chancy of Cowpens, SC; mother, Mary P. Chancy of Allendale, SC; brothers, Larry Joe Saunders, Jr. (Amie) of Lexington, SC; Nubern L. "Rocky" Chancy (Hollie) of Oak Ridge North, Texas; sisters, Kathy Almers of Summerville, SC; Connie Burbage (Butch) of Summerville, SC; Cindy Feagin (Dale) of Summerville, SC; Janet Lisenby (Gene) of Summerville, SC; Angie Webster (James) of Statesboro, GA; Elizabeth Rogers of Aiken, SC; and Katie Saunders, of Aiken, SC.  She was predeceased by her brother, Dion P. Chancy.

A private family viewing will be held at the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton, SC, followed by a graveside funeral service at 11:00AM on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Lebanon Methodist Church in Scotia, SC.  The service will be officiated by Reverend Brian Fleming.

Pallbearers are Larry Saunders, Jr., McKenzie Saunders, and Harrison Saunders.  Honorary pallbearer is Diane's lifelong friend, Michael Boodle.
