Diane Farrior Bishop, of LaGrange, Georgia, formerly of Yemassee, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Wellstar Hospice in LaGrange following an extended illness. Born March 28, 1943, in Walterboro, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late David P. and Mildred Marvin Farrior. A devoted and long-standing member of Ebenezer Methodist Church, Diane maintained strong ties to her church and community throughout her life.
Diane was committed to her family and friends, and she found great joy in the simple pursuits that shaped her days. She enjoyed reading, spending time along the coast, and preparing meals that gathered her loved ones around the table—traditions that reflected her steady and caring nature.
She is survived by her son, Stephen Bishop and his wife, Samantha, of Griffin, Georgia; and her daughter, Angie Riedel and her husband, Tim, of LaGrange. She is also survived by her brother, David Farrior (Barb) of Beaufort, South Carolina; and her sisters, Lisa O'Neill (Dennis) of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, and Carol Ross (Barrie) of Charleston, South Carolina. Diane cherished her six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Bishop, and her daughter, Kristin Heape.
A graveside memorial service will be held on December 13, 2025, at 1 p.m., in Ebenezer Cemetery in Yemassee, South Carolina, conducted by Rev. Robert Hoover and Rev. Garey Finch.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Georgia Hospice, 1510 Vernon Road, LaGrange, GA 30240, or to Ebenezer Methodist Church, P.O. Box 184, Yemassee, SC 29945.
