Detra Tant Loadholt

Mrs. Detra Zonie Tant Loadholt, 58, resident of Rose Lane in the Nixville community, widow of the late Coleman Blease "Coley" Loadholt, Jr., passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025, in the Hampton Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.

Born September 7, 1967, in the Hampton County Hospital, Mrs. Loadholt was the daughter of the late Gene Calhoun Tant and Evelyn Lena Jarrell Tant.  She was a graduate of Wade Hampton High School and worked many years for the Department of Health and Human Services serving the Allendale area.  Mrs. Loadholt loved playing softball for many years, notably playing for Nixville Baptist Church, and will be remembered for the deep love she had for her family.

Mrs. Loadholt was a member of St. Nicholas Lutheran Church along with her husband but also attended Nixville Baptist Church, where she was raised.

Surviving is her son, Jon Cole Loadholt (Ada Douan) of Walterboro; her grandson, Jackson Cole Loadholt; her brothers: Gene Patrick Tant (Peggy) of Nixville, William Collis Tant (Missy) of Estill and David Michael Tant of Nixville; her father-in-law, Coleman Blease Loadholt, Sr. of Allendale, and her sister-in-law, Leanne L. Getridge (J.) of Brunson.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Coley, Mrs. Loadholt was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Gertrude Oswald Loadholt.

Funeral Services will be 2 PM Saturday, December 13, 2025, in St. Nicholas Lutheran Church with burial following in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be 5 PM – 7 PM Friday evening, December 12, 2025, at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry St. W., Hampton, SC 29924.
