Mrs. Delores Clifton Hadwin of Speedway Blvd. in Hardeeville died Friday morning in the St. Joseph's  Hospital in Savannah.

Mrs. Hadwin was born May 12, 1939 in Varnville, a daughter of the late Robert F. "Bob" Clifton and Gladys Stanley Clifton.  She was a homemaker, but also worked with her husband in the family business.  She enjoyed fishing, traveling and watching her hummingbirds each year.  Her family always came first, especially her husband, the love of her life, with whom she had celebrated 63 years of marriage.

Surviving are:  Her husband: George Herman Hadwin, Jr. of Hardeeville; Daughters: Renee' Fretz and husband David, Sylvia Riscigno and husband Nick, Emily Padgett and husband Tim; Brothers: Robert Clifton, Harry Clifton and wife Kendra; Sisters: Barbara Tuten and husband Ronald, Dot Litchfield and husband Jimmy, Linda Nettles and husband Bob; Grandchildren: Nick and wife Ann Marie, David and wife Mildred, Brian, Kyle and wife Katlin, Dwight, Natasha, Jacob and wife Morgan; Great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Madison, David, Kyleigh and Gage; and several nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.  Mrs. Hadwin was predeceased by one sister, Betty Priester.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Monday in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Jack Gatlin with burial in the DeLoach Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton beginning at 11:30 AM Monday prior to services.
