Delores Ann Brunson

Delores Ann Hickman Brunson of Nix Street in Hampton died Monday morning, May 13, 2019, at the N.H.C. Healthcare of Bluffton.  She was 60.

Delores was born September 26, 1958 in Walterboro, a daughter of the late William Horace Hickman  and Jo Ann Robertson Padgett.  She had worked in the meat department at Bilo and had also been a caregiver.  She loved working outdoors with flowers.  Delores loved her family, especially her mother who she said was her best friend.   She had a special place in her heart for her nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Surviving are siblings:  Nancy Gill (Ted), Marvin Long (Missy), Patty Jackson (Lee), Judy Tindall (Michael) and Jenny Sharp (Lowell);  special brother-in-law:  Thomas Watson; nieces and nephews:  Michael Gill, Justin Malphrus (Charity), Adam Malphrus, Brian Chassereau  (Brittany), Travis Long, Joey Gill, Casey Galloway (Steven), Rachael Grimm (Dyllon), Stephanie Jarrell (Randy), Blake Tindall (Charlotte), Joshua Chassereau, and Cole Jackson (baby Cole); and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.  Delores was predeceased by her companion:  Johnnie Hayes; father: William Horace Hickman;   mother:  Jo Ann Padgett;   step-father:  Barney L. Padgett;  sister:  Cathy Long Watson;  brothers:  William Horace Hickman, Jr. and Johnnie Lee Padgett.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Wednesday in the Nixville Church of God of Prophecy conducted by Bishop Michael Frederickson with burial in the Sandy Run Cemetery directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at her mother's home, 690 Main Street in Varnville.
