David Lucas Poston

Mr. David Lucas Poston of Poston Drive in Yemassee, died Sunday morning at his residence.

Mr. Poston was born Sept. 13, 1960 in Hampton, a son of Lucas and Patsy Davis Poston. He was the General Roadmaster for CSX Railroad, and was a member of the Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge #196. Mr. Poston was a member of the Yemassee Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and R. A. leader. He was a great leader and devoted volunteer in his community.
Surviving besides his Mother of Hampton are: His Wife: Lori Goodwin Poston of Yemassee; Daughter: Jennifer Poston Sherman of Florence; Sisters: Carol Ann Pitman of Hampton, Laura Eaddy of Charleston and Brana Freeman and Husband Gary of Varnville; and one Brother: Robbie Poston of Hampton; There are two grandchildren: Ellie Kate Love and Jude Love.
Funeral services will be at 4 P.M. Wednesday in the Yemassee Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Heyward Evans, with burial in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Yemassee directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton.
Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon beginning at 3 P.M. prior to the services at the church.
The family suggest that those who wish may send memorials to the Yemassee Baptist Church, P.O. Box 68, Yemassee, S.C. 29945.
