Darrell Heape

Mr. Darrell Marvin Heape, 84, of Mt. Olive Road in Early Branch, died Friday morning, January 15, 2021 in Hampton Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Heape was born April 13, 1936 in Early Branch, a son of the late Bennie and Minnie Youmans Heape.  He had worked with heating and air conditioning installation and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.  He was an avid golfer and fisherman.

Surviving are:  his wife, Patricia Hamm Heape of Early Branch; sons, Bryan Heape and wife Henrietta of Orlando and Dwayne Heape and wife Michelle of Lexington; daughters, Deborah Hohmann and husband Glenn of Harrah, Washington,  Brenda Haggard of Orlando, Florida and Dawn Mole and husband Andy of Early Branch; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.  Besides his parents, Mr. Heape was predeceased by a son, Dean Heape, and 8 brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be 2 PM Monday in the Zahler Cemetery near Early Branch conducted by Pastor Glenn Hohmann, Michael Mole and Pastor Don Davis and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.
