Danny Zorn

Mr. William Danny Zorn, husband of Mrs. Jackie Zorn of Hampton, South Carolina, passed away Monday, May 18, 2026, peacefully at his residence after an extended illness. Born December 11, 1938, he was the son of Franklin William and Sally Mae Zorn.

Mr. Zorn was a member of the Army and National Guard, where he proudly served his country. He spent many years working hard at Westinghouse, on his family farm in Lena, at Elliott Sawmill, Chambers, and for the Town of Hampton. Danny was also a dedicated deacon at Furman Baptist Church, where he and Mrs. Jackie attended. His children, grandchildren, and friends will remember him as someone who was always smiling, making jokes, and enjoying the simple things in life.

While the hearts of Mr. Danny's family and friends are heavy, they find peace in knowing he is with the Lord and in no more pain.

In addition to his wife, Mrs. Jackie Zorn, Mr. Zorn is survived by his children: Kenny Jones (Bill) of West Columbia, Elaine Jarrell of Brunson, Richard Long (Janice) of Nixville, and Terry Long (Lisa) of Nixville. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Mr. Danny is also survived by his sibling, Elaine Anderson (Bill). He was preceded in death by his daughter, Darlene Zorn; his son, Darryl Long; his son-in-law Jeffery Jarrell; his granddaughter, Renee Simmons; and his great-grandson, Weston Jarrell; his first wife, Mrs. Jennie Webb Zorn; and his sister, Barbara Jean Sheffield (Harry).

Graveside Services will be 4 PM Thursday, May 21, 2026, in the Nixville Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery conducted by Pastor Brian Toney.

Visitation will be 6 PM - 8 PM Wednesday evening, May 20, 2026, at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, Hampton Chapel located at 300 Mulberry St. W., Hampton, SC 29924.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the team at Hospice of South Carolina for their incredible support. They would also like to thank the many family members and friends who have reached out with thoughts and prayers during this time.
