Daniel Leslie Parker, 26, of Orlando, Florida passed away on October 10, 2025. He grew up in Glen Mar Park in Bethesda, Maryland.
Born on August 16,1999, Daniel attended Wood Acres Elementary School and graduated from Walt Whitman High School in 2017. He also attended Montgomery College.
In his preschool and early years Daniel enjoyed the Mohican swimming pool, visits to the Sycamore store, visits to Glen Echo Park and its children's shows, and Cabin John Park to ride the park's small train and playground equipment. He also enjoyed browsing the aisles of costumes at Gene's Costumes in Kensington.
He had an everlasting passion for all things Halloween. He and his friends annually operated a neighborhood haunted house in Glen Mar Park during the week of Halloween. He continued this passion and acted in various commercial "Haunted House" operations in Maryland and Florida up to the end of his life. He loved collecting masks and attending horror comic cons.
He moved to Orlando after college to work for Disney World and Universal Studios. He found both engaging, whether working in hotel operations or working the attractions. Throughout his life he had an abiding love of animals. He had many many friends, he loved music, singing karaoke, and he played the guitar, piano and trumpet.
Daniel is survived by his parents Leslie and Joseph Parker, his grandfather Leslie R. Bell, his aunts Susan Tokarz, Janet Neimeyer (Charles), uncle Daniel D. Parker (Candace), great-uncle Carleton Bell (Eleanor), many cousins, and Daniel's fiancé Giovanna Moura, who meant the world to him.
A private graveside service will be held 11 AM Friday, October 17, 2025, in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Yemassee, South Carolina.
In lieu of Flowers, the family suggests donations in Daniel's name to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, 5001 Angel Canyon Rd., Kanab, UT 84741 (bestfriends.org/donate).
Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home is assisting the family during this time.
