Daniel Bud "Danny" Curtis

Mr. Daniel Bud "Danny" Curtis of Estill, died Thursday night in the Hampton Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Curtis was born in Estill, February 29, 1948, a son of the late James Bud Curtis and Lois Tuten Curtis.  He had served in the National Guard and also, retired from Wiggins Hardware in Estill after 44 years as a Sales Clerk.  He also repaired almost anything that his friends and citizens of the community would bring by the store.  He enjoyed woodworking, loved the outdoors, especially hunting, and was a member of the Beech Branch Baptist Church.

Surviving are:  his wife:  Alice Benton Curtis of Estill;  sons:  William D. "Billy" Curtis and wife Michelle of Ehrhardt and Jamie Curtis of Varnville;  brother:  Paul Curtis of Nixville;  sister:  Paula C. Hiers of New Ellenton;  grandchildren:  Wesley, Katie and Cameron Curtis; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Tuesday in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton conducted by Rev. Brian Toney.

Visitation will be immediately following the services.

The family suggests that those who wish may send memorials to the charity of one's choice.
