Corky Johnson

VARNVILLE:     Charles Curtis "Corky" Johnson passed away at his home in Varnville Saturday, April 6, 2024 after a brief illness.  He was 51.

Corky was born in Hampton July 9, 1972, a son of Charles Lester Johnson, and Emmajean Ginn Johnson.  For over twenty years he had worked for Coastal Contractors and Rentz Construction in Beaufort as their lead carpenter, as well as a crane and forklift operator.  He was a dedicated employee his entire time there, and was a devoted father and son.

In addition to his parents, Corky is survived by his sister Tony J. Patnaude (Brett), by his aunt Mildred Drawdy, and by his uncle David Johnson.  He leaves behind his two best friends, Michael Johnson and Carl Drawdy.  Corky was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Tiffanie Johnson.

Funeral services will be held privately.  Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home of Hampton is in charge of arrangements.
