Clifford Brown

Mr. Clifford Albert Brown, aged 89, of Dublin, Georgia, passed away peacefully on May 6th, 2026. He was born on October 12,1936 at the San Diego Naval Hospital in California to O'ther Fredrick "Fred" Brown and Goldie Baum Brown.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Goldie Brown, his wife, Judith Ann Bedingfield Brown, sisters, Lois Schiano, Betty Smith, Thelma Alvarado and Mildred Fontenot, and one brother, Fredrick "Junior" Brown.

When Clifford was younger, he kept with family tradition and joined the US Navy where he was stationed in San Diego. He lived a long life of travel and adventure with a special place in his heart for the beautiful country of Japan. He loved working on automobiles and was an auto mechanic by trade. Clifford enjoyed teaching his daughter, Terri how to work on cars before she was old enough to drive. He also coached his daughter in girls softball, taking her to the Girls California All Star team in her league. All memories his daughter will always cherish.

Clifford had a long marriage of 58 years with the love of his life, Judith. He moved with her to Dublin, Georgia in 1993 from California and will be laid to rest next to her in Varnville, South Carolina, his wife's home state.

Clifford is survived by his only child, Terri Watson, his son in law, Brian, his caretaker, Penny, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 1 PM Monday, May 11, 2026, in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located by 300 Mulberry St. W., Hampton, SC 29924, conducted by Rev. Dr. Thomas H. Kelly, Jr..

Visitation will begin at 12 PM prior and last until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
