Clarence Mcduffy Mcmillan, Sr.

Mr. Clarence McDuffy McMillan, Sr. of Corbin Lane near Brunson, died Tuesday evening at his residence.

Mr. McMillan was born November 24, 1934 in Hampton County, a son of the late Joe Frank McMillan and Lucy Mole McMillan.  He had been a farmer for 61 years and loved the outdoors, especially turkey hunting and fishing.  He was a member of Sandy Run Baptist Church.

Surviving are:  Son:  Newton McMillan and wife Robin of Brunson;  Brother:  Jimmy McMillan and wife Maude of Brunson;  Daughter-in-law:  Martha Cannington McMillan of Okatie;  and Grandchildren:  Kattie and Jonathan McMillan, and Morgan McMillan McGraw.  There are a number of nieces and nephews.  Mr. McMillan was predeceased by his wife:  Laura Hughey McMillan;  Son:  Clarence McMillan, Jr.; and a brother:  Joe Frank McMillan.

Graveside services will be 11 AM Saturday in the Sandy Run Cemetery conducted by Rev. Paul Reid.

Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 PM at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Hospice of South Carolina, 266 Robertson Blvd., Walterboro, SC 29488 or the Sandy Run Baptist Church Brotherhood, 2100 Sandy Run Road, Hampton, SC 29924.
