Charles Roset Roberts, Jr.

Mr. Charles Roset Roberts, Jr. of Davidson Tower Road near Yemassee, died early Tuesday morning in the Veterans Victory House in Walterboro.

Mr. Roberts was born January 6, 1923, in West Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Charles R. Roberts Sr. and Mabel Louise Tritch Roberts.  He had retired as a furnace operator with the Copper Weld Steel Company in Glassport, Pennsylvania, was a World War II Army Veteran, and enjoyed fishing and tinkering with anything mechanical.

Surviving are:  His wife:  Loretta Angel Reali Roberts of Yemassee;  Daughters:  Elizabeth Jean R. Shaffer of Early Branch and Mabel Louise Turkovic of Hermanie, Pennsylvania.  There are 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be announced at a later date to take place in the Mount Vernon Cemetery in McKeesport, Pennsylvania.  Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton is assisting the family with funeral services.
