Charlene Wheeler

POOLER, GA :     Mrs. Charlene Crews Wheeler of Pooler, Georgia formerly of Hampton County, South Carolina died Monday in the St. Joseph's/Chandler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.

Mrs. Wheeler was born March 19, 1946 in Hampton County, a daughter of the late Clifford Crews and Addie Gould Crews.  She had worked in retail sales for many years, working for Belk Department Store.  She was a member of the Silk Hope Baptist Church in Savannah.

Surviving are:  Daughter: LaDonna Cason of Pooler, Georgia;  Sister:  Dorothy Haskell of Walterboro; and a grandson:  Nathan Carson.

Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Monday in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton, conducted by Rev. David Johnson, with burial in the Crews Cemetery near Varnville.

Visitation will take place at the funeral home located at 300 Mulberry Street West, in Hampton prior to the services Monday.
