CHAPIN DATELINE:
Mrs. Cecelia B. Eaddy of Rocky Ramp Drive in Chapin, formerly of Varnville, died early Wednesday morning in the National Health Care Facility in West Columbia after an extended illness.
Mrs. Eaddy was born February 28, 1939 in Rockingham, North Carolina, widow of George F. Eaddy, Jr., and daughter of the late James Andy Blackmon and Pearl Bonnie Mae Wilson Blackmon. She was a homemaker and a member of the Varnville First Baptist Church, where she had been active as a Sunday School Teacher, Choir Member and was the Treasurer Assistant.
Surviving are: Daughters: Debra E. Magee and husband Ken of Chapin, Lisa E. Mixson and husband Freddie of Hampton; Son: James Michael Eaddy of Pond Town; seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
A visitation for friends will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton; a visitation for the immediate family will be Saturday morning from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home; then moving the casket to the First Baptist Church in Varnville for a 1:00 p.m. service. Rev. Dr. Tommy Kelly will conduct the services, with burial following in the Varnville Cemetery.
