Catherine Elise Forshey

Catherine Elise Forshey, 31, affectionately known as "Cat", resident of Royal Oak, Michigan, formerly of Varnville, South Carolina, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025, at her residence in Michigan.

Born Patrick James Forshey on May 24, 1994, in Charleston, SC, Cat is the daughter of Brian Bruce Forshey and Jennifer Park Forshey. She attended the public schools of Hampton County and Beaufort County, graduating from Battery Creek High School, and later attended the College of Charleston. Cat lived many places throughout the country and worked as a very talented computer programmer. She had a knack for technology and will be remembered for her love for music, playing the guitar, and adoration of animals.

Cat was baptized at an young age as a member of the First Baptist Church of Hampton.

Surviving are her parents, Brian and Jennifer Forshey of Varnville, SC; a sister, Rebekah Forshey Troutman (Duane) of Trenton, SC; a brother, John Forshey (Brittany) of Calhoun, GA, as well as two nieces and three nephews. There are also many extended relatives and friends who survive.

Cat was predeceased by one sister, Kathryn Forshey.

Memorial Services will be held at 5 PM Monday, October 13, 2025, in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry St. W., Hampton, SC 29924.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish may send memorials to the Hampton County Animal Shelter, 460 Cemetery Rd., Varnville, SC 29944.
