Casey Jarrell

Mr. James David Jarrell, better known as Casey, 75, of Two Sisters Ferry Road in Varnville, passed away Thursday November 27th, 2025 at his residence.

Born October 8th, 1950 in Camp Branch, SC he was the son of the late Ervin Jarrell and Mary Eva Mock Jarrell. Casey was a jack of all trades, raising cattle on his farm and working for many years as a appliance repairman in the Varnville area and then later at Georgia Pacific in Rincon, Ga. He showed his devotion to Christ by attending Hampton Church of God as much as he was able. Casey was a loving family man and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and his wife of 48 years.

Casey is survived by his wife Brenda Crews Jarrell, His siblings Evelyn Griner, Linda Crapse, and Oliver Jarrell, His four children: Billy Williams and partner Renata Redmond of Batesburg, SC, Darrell Williams and partner Crystal Crosby of Hampton, SC, Casey Jarrell Jr. and partner Ashley Friday of Nixville, SC, and Cassie Jarrell Harriott and husband Kalob Harriott of Nixville, SC, as well as his grandchildren Heather, Kimberly, Ian, Heather, Megan, Randi, Ronnie, Scarlett, and Addie, and His loving friend of many years Bonnie Freeman. He had two Grandchildren that he raised as his own, Ervin and Oliver Williams.

Casey is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Richard, Margaret, Annette, Louise, and Laverne, His best friend since Elementary school, Cecil Freeman, as well as one daughter Nora Williams, and one grandchild Joshua Jarrell.

Funeral Services will be 2 PM Monday, December 1, 2025, in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry St. W., conducted by Rev. Edward David Richardson. Burial will follow in the Thames Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 1 PM and last until the hour of the service in the Chapel at the funeral home.
