Carroll Yvonne Richard

Mrs. Carroll Yvonne Richard of McDill Lane in Hampton died Friday morning at her residence.

Mrs. Richard was born Jan. 8, 1937 in Leominster, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Walter and Claire Blanchard.  She had retired as the Financial Aid Director, with the Salkehatchie Branch of the University of South Carolina in Allendale.  Mrs. Richard served on the Hampton County Library Board, and had a great love of the outdoors, especially bird watching and had travelled to many areas in the world to enjoy her love of birds.  She was a member of the Carolina Bird Club, and the Audubon Society.

Mrs. Richard was the widow of Robert Edward "Bob" Richard.  Surviving are: Daughters: Darryl Wilcox and husband Jeff of Walterboro, Cherryl Daring and husband Clark of Ridgeland, and Karen Breland and husband David of Varnville; Granddaughters: Amy Lane and husband Justin, and Andrea Daring; and one Great Grandson: Collins Robert Lane.

Graveside services will be 11A.M. Monday in the Varnville Cemetery, directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton.  The family suggests that those who wish may send memorials to Varnville Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 707, Varnville, S.C. 29944
