Carl Chassereau

Mr. Carl Wyman Chassereau, 85, of Hampton, died Sunday morning, January 24, 2021 in the Hampton Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Chassereau was born January 10, 1936 in Miley, a son of the late Clifford C. Chassereau and Lillian Crews Chassereau.  He was a farmer and a member of Hampton First Baptist Church where he had been active in the Men's Sunday School Class and the Brotherhood Group.  Carl also served in the National Guard for 10 years and had served on the Hampton County Farm Bureau Board.

Surviving is his son Ronald Wyman Chassereau of Hampton; grandchildren:  Rhonda Jones and Blake Daniel Chassereau; nephews:  Bryan, Clint, Luke Chassereau and Chris Newton; and one niece Ashley C. Parks.  Mr. Chassereau was predeceased by his parents; his wife Adrene Rivers Johnson Chassereau; and brothers:  Myles E. "Gene" Chassereau, Larry and Claude Chassereau.

Graveside services will be 3 PM Thursday at Johnson-St. Paul Cemetery in Hampton.

Visitation will be Thursday beginning at 1:30 PM at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton prior to services at the cemetery.
