Buddy Mock

Mr. Buddy "Fatman" Mock, 82, resident of Walterboro, formerly of Estill, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2025, at MUSC in Charleston, SC.

Born October 24, 1943, in Charleston, SC, Mr. Mock was the son of the late Daniel Louis Mock and Emma Lee Mock Crews. He was a graduate of Estill High School and worked many years as a talented carpenter and construction worker; having built many homes on Hilton Head and surrounding areas. Mr. Mock also served in the South Carolina National Guard for several years and will be remembered for his enjoyment of watching racing, cooking, and for his fun "trash talk" with others.

Surviving is his son, Bryson Hamilton Mock; two daughters: Lynsey Allison Mock and Sophia Mock Cuevas (Nick); one brother, Robert Lee Mock; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Mock was predeceased by a daughter, Amanda Lynn Mock Evans, and a sister, Margaret Eugenia Mock.

Graveside Services will be 11 AM Friday, November 7, 2025, in the Oak Grove Cemetery on Rivers Hill Road near Grays, conducted by Pastor Heyward Evans.

Visitations will be 5 PM – 7 PM Thursday evening, November 6, 2025, at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry St. W., Hampton, SC 29924.
