Brian Smith, 45, passed away at his residence on Saturday August 10th, 2024, in Estill, South Carolina.
Brian was born on December 13th, 1978, in Macon, Georgia. Brian grew up in Macon, Georgia and graduated from Central High School in 1997. Brian was a graduate of The Citadel Class of 2001.
Brian loved his two beautiful daughters, dogs, hunting, fishing, snow skiing, Land Cruisers, anything related to the great outdoors and The Citadel. Brian lived on Woodside Plantation in Estill, South Carolina. He was employed as a Cybersecurity Specialist with British Aerospace Engineering Systems. Brian was a devoted father, son, brother, and loyal friend of many. Surviving are his two beautiful daughters, McCall Schivera and Riley Smith. His parents Dr. E. Steven Smith and Linda Mock Smith of St. Simons Island, Georgia, brother Michael Steven Smith of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Grandmother Norma Mock of St. Simons Island, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Ernest and Barbara Smith of Macon, Georgia and Lynwood Mock of Bainbridge, Georgia. Brian had many extended and much loved family members who reside in the Georgia and South Carolina areas.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 24th 1pm Visitation and 2pm Funeral Service at the Lawtonville Baptist Church- 406 Fourth Street East Estill, South Carolina 29918. Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, Inc. – 300 Mulberry Street West Hampton, South Carolina 29924 is assisting the family during this time. A Celebration of Life for Brian Smith will be held in Macon, Georgia at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be made to The Citadel, Class of 2001 in Memory of Brian Smith.
