Bobbie J. Barnes

Mr. Bobbie J. Barnes of the Miley Community in Hampton County, died Sunday in the Beaufort Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Barnes was born June 17, 1939 in Hampton County, a son of the late Henry Harold Barnes and Daisy Hartley Barnes. He had worked for Lightsey Brothers as a Carpenter, and had attended the Open Arms Fellowship Church in Hampton. He was well known in the community for his Garden, and especially selling Watermelons from his truck at both Miley Crossroads on Highway 601 and Highway 63.
Surviving are:  Two Close Cousins; Larry Williams of Islandton, and Glenn Carter, as well as other numerous cousins.
Bobbie was predeceased by his parents, and one brother, Jarvis Barnes.
Graveside services will be 3 P.M. Saturday, January 21, 2023, in the Crocketville Cemetery, conducted by Rev. James Porter, and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.
