Bob Monroe

BRUNSON: Mr. Robert Lane "Bob" Monroe, husband of the late Mary Katherine Hurst Monroe, passed away in Beaufort after a brief illness.  His beloved wife preceded him in death this past September.

Mr. Monroe was born May 08, 1946 in Monroe, North Carolina, a son of the late Roy Leigh Monroe and Mary Rummage Monroe.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and was member of the Brunson United Methodist Church in Brunson.

Surviving are his daughters Shea M. Kinard and husband Joseph of Fairfax and Jennifer M. Lazenby and husband Brian of Beaufort; grandchildren Drayton Kinard and wife Valorie of Hampton, Madison and fiancé Braden and Wyatt Greene and their father, Michael; and Malia, Julia and Hannah,  great grandchildren, Charlee,  Carter, Matthew, Emersyn, and Colton;  Brother, Mike Monroe, and sisters, Pat  Fields and husband William and Margaret Hicks and husband Bill.  He was predeceased by a brother Steve Monroe.

Memorial Service will be Sunday, January 07, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the Brunson United Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Carol Holloway and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.
