Mrs. Betty Ann Cook Mixon, 83, of Kimlin Way Road near Estill, died early Friday morning, December 13, 2019 in the Retreat Senior Care Facility on Ladys Island.

Mrs. Mixon was born June 28, 1936 in Estill, a daughter of the late Hance Ford Cook and Jessie Terry Cook.  She was a member of the Stafford Baptist Church and had been very active with Patrick Henry Academy.  She enjoyed playing softball and had coached for several years at the school.  She was the widow of Robert Cooper Mixon, Sr. and Thomas Conway Mixon, Sr.

Surviving are her sons:  Thomas "Tommy" Conway Mixon, Jr. and wife Wanda of Estill, William "Bill" Cooper Mixon and wife Karen of Estill, and Robert Cooper Mixon, Jr. and wife Danielle of Estill;  daughter:  Terri Mixon McCrary and husband Randy of Estill;  10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Mixon was predeceased by her husbands and a daughter, Janet Ellen Mixon McCrary.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday in the Stafford Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tim Minchey with burial in the Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 6 PM at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
