Mrs. Betsy Ann Ginn, 87, resident of the Ginn Hill Subdivision near Nixville, died late Tuesday evening, November 12, 2024, in the Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia.
Born September 17, 1937, in Hampton County, Mrs. Ginn was the daughter of the late Edgar McGrady Ginn and Iona Harriett Ginn. Mrs. Ginn retired after working 70 years. In her later years she enjoyed crocheting in the Seamans Ministry at Nixville Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ginn was a dedicated member of Nixville Baptist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Debra Ann Ginn of Aiken; four grandchildren: Sarah Hope Ansley of Aiken, Shawn Parker Mayes of Aiken, and twins Steven and Stewart Mizzell both of Nixville; a son-in-law, Troy "Chuck" Humbert Mizzell of Estill; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ginn is predeceased by her husband, Heyward Amos Ginn; her daughter, Virginia Darlene Mizzell, and sisters, Mae Ginn Winn and Lillian Ginn Click
Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, November 16, 2024, in the Nixville Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Allan Kircher and Rev. Aron Winn, with burial in the church cemetery.
A visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Peeples Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West, Hampton SC, 29924.
The family suggests that those who wish may send memorials to Nixville Baptist Church, 3925 Two Sisters Ferry Road, Estill, South Carolina 29918.
