Bernice Chloe Bishop

Miss Bernice Chloe Bishop of Railroad Avenue in Brunson died Monday morning.  Miss Bishop was born in Hampton County, September 18, 1938, a daughter of the late Chesley Arthur Bishop and Carrie Corrine Priester Bishop.  She had worked at Davan Manufacturing Company in Allendale for 46 years and was a loyal member of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church.

Surviving are:  Sisters:  Grace B. Tuten and husband, Robert, of Furman and Esther Salome Bishop of Brunson;  several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Miss Bishop was predeceased by her parents, a Brother: Charles Adam Bishop; and a Sister:  Hilda Bishop Hindman.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Saturday in the Hickory Grove Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. R. P. Hodge, with burial in the Hickory Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M. Friday at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be sent to Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 2834 Bamberg Highway, Hampton, SC 29924.
