Beatrice Dempsey Mcclure

Beatrice Dempsey McClure, 87, widow of Ernest H. McClure, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 23, 2023.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, April 27, 2023 at St. Matthews Baptist Church with Rev. Duane Woosley and Ray Metts officiating. Burial will follow in the Deep Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Varnville, SC. The visitation will be an hour before the service beginning at 1:00 PM in the church.

Beatrice was born on October 24, 1935 in Early Branch, SC, a daughter of the late John Henry Dempsey and Minnie Cartrette Dempsey. She was a teacher's aid and bus driver with the St. George Public Schools. She was a member of St. Matthews Baptist Church. Beatrice was first married to James Irvin Shuman and later to Adeal Mixson.
