Barbara Miller Nesbitt

Mrs. Barbara Miller Hudson Nesbitt, 79, resident of Ficken Road in Early Branch, widow of the late Rufus Nesbitt, died Wednesday, February 12, 2025, in the Carlyle Senior Care facility in Blackville.

Born July 01, 1945, in Waycross, Georgia, Mrs. Nesbitt was the daughter of the late Elton Jospeh Miller and Dorothy Pearl Smith Miller. She worked many years in the food service industry as a waitress, notably for Ernie's Restaurant in Estill. She will be remembered as a friendly woman who enjoyed being around others. Mrs. Nesbitt was the widow of the late Rufus Martin Nesbitt, who passed away in 2023.

Mrs. Nesbitt was a member of Lawtonville Baptist Church in Estill.

Surviving are her children, Terri Stokes of Summerville, T.C. Hudson (Susan) of Fairfax, and Robin Hudson of Atlanta; her grandchildren: Erica Hudson, Brandon Boyles, Kaleb Casca, Elisa Rivera, Laural A. Hudson, Jessica L. Hudson, Mallory T. Hudson, Casey Johnson, and Amanda Stokes; a sister, Margie Barnes (Bernard) of North Carolina, as well as 8 great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held 3 PM Saturday, February 15, 2025, in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Yemassee, conducted by Rev. Asbury Lawton.

A visitation will be held from 1 PM – 2 PM, Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry St. W., Hampton, SC 29924, prior to services in the cemetery.

Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home is assisting the Nesbitt family during this time.
