Barbara Bridges Bowers

It is with profound sadness, that we share the passing of our beloved mother, Barbara Bridges Bowers. She left us on March 21, 2025, at the age of 80.

Born to Joseph and Neomi Bridges, in Early Branch, South Carolina. She is survived by her children, Jeff Bowers (Jennifer), Bobbie Bowers Helseth (Greg), and Leslie Bowers Vigo. She also had 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was an amazing woman of immense strength, love and kindness. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren immensely, and will forever be cherished in our hearts. Even though she has left her earthly body, we know to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Corinthians 5:8.

We will continue to honor her legacy by living our lives to the fullest.

Graveside Memorial Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, May 3, 2025, in the Varnville Cemetery in Varnville. Her wish for only colorful clothing to be worn at her funeral.
