Audrey Ellen Hagy

Mrs. Audrey Ellen McCann Hagy, wife of the late Orie Stewart Hagy, passed away at her home in Bamberg Tuesday evening, January 15, 2019.  She was 96.

Mrs. Hagy was born in Franklinville, MD October 22, 1922 a daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Gilbert McCann.  She was an employee of Belco Industries, and after her retirement, moved to South Carolina with her husband to be closer to their family.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and attended Harmony Presbyterian Church in Crocketville.

She is survived by her children:  Sandra H. Richardson of Bamberg, and Ronald Hagy  of Florida.  There are four grandchildren:  Russell and Jeff Richardson, and Ronald and Robert Hagy.  She leaves behind five great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held privately at a later date.  Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, 300 Mulberry Street in Hampton is in charge of arrangements.
