HAMPTON:   Mrs. Annie Gaynell Thomas Freeman of Wagon Wheel Road near Hampton, died Early Tuesday at her residence.

Mrs. Freeman was born August 20, 1941 in Hampton, a daughter of the late Quillie Thomas and Annie Heape Thomas. She was a Homemaker, a member of the Sandy run Baptist Church, and had devoted her life to caring for her immediate and extended family members. Mrs. Freeman was the widow of James O. Freeman.

Surviving are; Daughter: Angie Altman "Gene Cook Sr." of Hampton; Grandchildren: Heather Lawson "Jimmy", Gene Cook Jr. "April Walker", Fallon Smith "Derrick", and Brittany Allison "Wesley" all of Hampton; 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Freeman was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and a son: James Troy Freeman.

Funeral services will be 3 P.M. Friday in the Sandy Run Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Dr. Tommy Kelly, with burial in the Sandy Run cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 P.M. at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
