Annie Lou Mixson

Mrs. Annie Lou Mixson of Sheldon passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.

Mrs. Mixson was born April 17, 1934 in Cummings, a daughter of the late Rev. Wyman and Alma Mixson. She was the widow of the late Woodrow Mixson of Grays.  She was a member of Pine Level Baptist Church, and spent most of her time sharing her faith in Jesus Christ. Mrs. Mixson was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Surviving are: Daughter, Elaine Mixson Kinard of Grays; Son, Steve Mixson (Gail) of Grays Hill; Three granddaughters: Robin Corley (Brandon) of Varnville, Rachael Todd (Jeremy) of Grays Hill, and Courtney Wilbanks of Queens, New York; Grandson: David Mixson (Annie) of Grays Hill; and nine Great Grandchildren: Dallas and Jonathan Todd of Grays Hill, Nathan, Jacob, and Caleb Corley of Varnville, and Skyla, Carter, Jacob and Esau of Grays Hill.  Mrs. Mixson was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and a grandson, Shawn Boyd, and a great granddaughter: Anna Grace Corley.

Funeral services will be 3 P.M. Saturday in the Pine Level Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Brandon Corley, with burial in the Sand Hill Cemetery, directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home.  Visitation will begin Saturday prior to the service at 2 P.M. at Pine Level Baptist Church.
