Annie Lillian Davis Smith

Mrs. Annie Lillian Davis Smith, 92, of Chanel Drive in Varnville died early Monday morning at her residence.

Mrs. Smith was born March 5, 1926 in Cottageville, a daughter of the late Elliott and Missouri Robinson Davis.  She was a homemaker, a member of the Pine Level Baptist Church and enjoyed raising birds and chickens.

Surviving are:  sons:  Elliott Edward Smith, Jr., Elliott Lee Smith and wife Annette, and Marvin H. Smith and wife Jennifer, all of Varnville;  daughters:  Annie Lou S. Mock of Cummings, Ola Fays S. Brown of Hampton, JoAnn S. McAlhaney and husband Mark of Varnville;  sister:  Shirley Simmons of Varnville; 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 7 great, great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Smith was predeceased by:  her husband:  Elliott Edward Smith; and a daughter:  Cheryl Kaye Smith.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Dr. Tommy Kelly with burial in the Hopewell Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm at the Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
