Mrs. Anne Carolyn Gooding Brandt passed away on November 19, 2022 at the Vitality Living Milton facility in Milton, GA. She is formerly from Varnville, S. C., where she was born on April 10, 1933.

Mrs. Brandt was the daughter of the late Claude Lenox Gooding and Alma Givens Gooding. She studied home economics at Winthrop College. She was a case worker with S. C. Department of Social Services, and an EMT with Hampton County EMS. Throughout her life she had a love for cooking, reading, nature, crafting, sewing, history, furniture restoration, and adopting stray animals. She was known for her noble character and generosity, freely giving gifts and providing for others. She had a very special love and sense of pride for her grandchildren, John and Mikayla.

Mrs. Brandt was the widow of the late John E. Brandt. Surviving are her daughters, Beverly Brandt Breuer, and husband Lee, of West Columbia, S. C. and Becky Brandt Cummings, and husband Tim, of Milton, GA, and a sister Ruth Gooding Womack, and husband Paul, of Atlanta. She is pre-deceased by a sister, Alice Gooding Chafin. Her grandchildren are John Patterson, and wife Emily, of Fort Mill, S. C. and Mikayla Cummings of Chapel Hill, N. C. Included among her 15 nieces, and great nieces and nephews, are Bonnie Lightsey, Carol Bennett, Beth Chafin, Laura Gallagher, Brad Chafin, and wife Jenn, and a great niece, Connor Gallagher.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 26 at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton, S. C. beginning at 11:00 AM. It will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Tommy Kelly. A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM prior to the services. The burial will be at the Varnville Cemetery.

The family suggests that those who wish, may send memorials to the Animal Care Fund of Hampton County, P. O. Box 23019, Hilton Head, S. C. 29925.
