Mrs. Anna Marie Rogers Bennett, 89, of Browning Gate Road near Estill, died Tuesday, July 21, 2020 in the Ridgeland Nursing Center.
Mrs. Bennett was born November 1, 1930 in Paris, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Scott and Letha Benegar Rogers. She had retired as a seamstress with Best Manufacturing Company and was a member of Nixville Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher, active with the W.M.U. and many other church activities.
Surviving are her daughters: Judy Kay Niedzielski and husband Robert of Stevensville, Michigan, Cheryl B. Griner of Estill, Karen Marie Smith and husband Gene of Grays and Carol Leigh Baker of Moncks Corner; sister: Linda Whitehead of Croset, Arkansas; and grandchildren: Tina Smith Russo, Kevin Lee Smith, Joseph Niedzielski, Rachel Copsey and Joshua Niedzielski. There are 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bennett was predeceased by her son, Gary Douglas Bennett and two grandsons, Brooks and Derek Griner.
Graveside services will be 10 AM Saturday at the Nixville Cemetery conducted by Steve DeLoach and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Nixville Church Family Life Center.
The family suggests that those who wish may send memorials to the Nixville Cemetery, 3915 Two Sisters Ferry Road, Estill, SC 29918.
The family will be at the home of her daughter, Karen Marie Smith, 822 Mill Pond Road in Grays.
