Andy Mole

David Andrew Mole, known to everyone as Andy, passed away in his home early on Friday morning, January 10, 2025.

Andy was a man who lived and loved a simple life. He grew up in the country, running through the woods, riding horses, hunting, and getting into plenty of trouble with his brothers, Ronnie and Duane. At 18, he married the girl he loved, and they built a beautiful life together.

For most of his life, Andy lived on his land in Early Branch. He was an incredibly hard worker, something he passed on to all his children. Whether he was driving a dump truck, working on an air conditioning unit, or fixing one of his kids' cars for them, he worked hard til the job was done, without ever complaining. When he wasn't working, he was hunting, watching NASCAR, listening to his favorite 70s and 80s rock bands, or spending time with his family. Those were the things he loved. One of his favorite hobbies was buying concert tickets to go see the 80s bands that he and Dawn loved best. They attended countless concerts together over the 40 years they were together, and it was one of their favorite things to do together from the time they were teenagers til they were grandparents.

Andy will be remembered as a giver, as a good man. Anyone who knew him knew that he would give you the shirt off his back and then fix your air conditioner for free. He spent years coaching softball, and he loved every single child he ever got the privilege to coach, and they all loved him back. He was a man you could count on, a dependable man.

Andy will always be honored and remembered by those he is leaving behind, including his parents, David and Loretta Mole, his brother, Ronald (Tabby) and his cousin and little brother, Ricky (April) Mole; his wife, Dawn, who stayed by his side for over 40 years; his children who adored him: Michael and Heather, Thomas, Kimani and Jennifer, Jamie and Mary, Jessie, Lauren and her fiancè, Gage, Sam and Michelle, Johnboy, Courtney, and Jake; and the grandchildren that he adored: Zeke, K2, Kai-Kai, Ellie, and Leroy.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Sand Hill Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery.

A visitation will be Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton.

While we mourn the loss of our son, brother, husband, Daddy, and Pa-Pa, we know he is with Jesus and that the pain he had experienced in his lifetime is now healed. And in that, we rejoice.

Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home is assisting the Mole family during this time.
